Enhancements
The tape drive now supports Multiple Partition Tapes, which is required for the Linear Tape File
System (LTFS).
To reduce power usage, the drive Ethernet interface will be set to low power signal detection
mode during the power up sequence.
The table of timeout values reported by the drive was updated so that all commands have a drive
recommended timeout. Some applications use the values recommended by the drive and this
change will allow those applications to automatically configure instead of using the default timeouts.
This change can prevent failures if the application default timeout was too low and can detect
failures more rapidly if the application default timeout was too large.
The drive can now generate a firmware upgrade tape from a new diagnostic command.
Fixes
Fixed a case where the drive could appear unresponsive or reset after a command accessed
memory on the tape drive. This usually happened when a diagnostic tool was used.
Fixed a case where the drive would reset after use of a legacy cleaning cartridge.
Fixed a case where the drive could appear unresponsive or reset after reading an LTO-3 cartridge.
Fixed a case where error code 0x3023 was displayed after writing highly compressible data.
