Quick Restore Requires Version 4.0a
The StorageWorks NAS 2000s can be restored to the factory
image with the Quick Restore DVD. The image can be restored
using one of two methods. However, both methods use the DVD
media to initiate the restore.
■ Method 1 utilizes a stand by image on the hard drives to
restore the image.
■ Method 2 utilizes the image on the DVD as the source of the
image and is used when the primary drives are lost, or when a
new image is released for the NAS device.
If method 2 is used, then the Quick Restore DVD 4.0 that shipped
with the StorageWorks NAS 2000s must be updated to version
4.0a.
