WebUI Initialization (Recommended Method)
The NAS E7000 includes a WebUI application that is designed to be a graphical,
easy-to-use application that gathers the necessary information for initialization. The
WebUI may be accessed through two methods: by host name or through auto
discovery mode using the RapidLaunch utility.
Auto Discovery Method (Via RapidLaunch)
The NAS E7000 includes a RapidLaunch CD that can run on any Windows-based PC
using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or greater). The WebUI application is
designed to be graphical and easy-to-use, and to assist you in populating information
necessary for initialization.
NOTE: RapidLaunch must be run on each node in a cluster.
Requirements
The following items are required to run the WebUI configuration application:
• Windows-based PC loaded with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or greater) on
the same segment as the NAS E7000
• RapidLaunch CD
NOTE: The NAS E7000 is designed to be deployed without a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
These ports are available and supported by the NAS device if used.
