As illustrated in Figure 4-1, the following steps are displayed while using the CST:
Configure the NAS E7000. This step gets the NAS devices ready to be clustered.
Confirm the Quorum Disk and RAIDsets are set up. The Quorum Disk is used
for communication between the two nodes, and the RAIDsets are used for
storage.
Install Microsoft Cluster Services (MSCS).
Configure SecurePath. During configuration, the NAS E7000 is set up through
the SecurePath Agent Configuration Utility.
Uninstall and reinstall Virtual Replicator (VR). VR needs to be uninstalled and
reinstalled in order to get the clustering capabilities.
Upgrade SFU. SFU needs to be upgraded to get the clustering capabilities.
Create file shares and test failover.
The NAS E7000 will reboot multiple times during the cluster setup process. The
cluster setup process resumes at the proper point after each of the required reboots.
