Installation Instructions

The HP X520 1U Power Adapter Shelf (J9701A) is an accessory for several small HP networking switches and

controllers. The shelf mounts on the back of the device providing a place to hold the power adapter. The shelf

supports these devices:

Install the Shelf

1. Align the shelf assembly with the device in the orientation shown.

2. Insert the two alignment pins on one side of the shelf into the appropriate holes on the device (1).

3. Align the two thumbscrews on the other side of the shelf (2), and secure the shelf to the device (3).

CAUTION: Tighten the thumbscrews firmly only by hand. Do not over tighten.

4. Slide the power adapter into the retention clip (4) from the end as illustrated (5).

CAUTION: Do not lift the retention clip and force the power adapter onto the shelf.
