Installing Command Console Client and

Creating Your First Virtual Disk

This chapter contains instructions on how to install the Client component of

Command Console for Windows NT and Windows 2000. When you install the

Command Console Client. You will also be installing the client for the HSZ22

controller. The device-specific Client provides the Storage window. If you are

installing the Client with a network connection, you must also install the

individual Agent for each system.

Procedure Summary

■ Install the Command Console software

■ Launch the Command Console Client

■ Establish communications with the controller over the serial port

■ Configure the RAID Array 3000 (HSZ22) controller for operation

■ Create your first virtual disk
