Establishing a Serial Connection
To create your first virtual disk, establish a serial cable connection from one of
the PC’s COM ports to the storage subsystem's CTR TOP or CTR BOTTOM
configuration port. See section “Connecting the PC Serial Interface Cable” and
proceed as follows:
1. Select the HSZ22 Storage Window.
2. When the Connection Choice dialog box appears, click the Serial radio
button (Figure 6–4), then click OK to display the Serial Connection
dialog box (Figure 6–5).

NOTE: To setup communications with both controllers you must configure virtual disk on
each controller see “Configuring your RAID Array 3000 for Dual-Controller operation.
