You need password protection for Agent’s host system. You may
specify a password during the Agent’s installation routine.
■ You will also need the IP name of Command Console Client’s host
system and you need a name for the storage subsystems connected to the
Agent’s Window NT host system.
■ You need to have installed TCP/IP services on your NT server.
■ You need to have created a Communications virtual disk on your RAID
Array 3000 using Command Console Client and a serial port
connection. See Chapter 6 “Installing Command Console Client and
Creating Your First Virtual Disk”.
■ You need to have assigned a Windows NT drive letter to the
Communications virtual disk using the Disk Administrator.
See Chapter 7 “Completing Your Storage Configuration Under
Windows NT”.
Installing the Agent
1. Place the RAID Array 3000 Software for NT/Intel/PCI CD–ROM in
your storage subsystem’s host system CD–ROM drive.
2. The Agent is located in D:\SWCC. Double-click the Setup icon to
begin the setup procedure.
