See Table 2-2 to select the RAID cluster layout that best suits your
environment. Prepare and install the SCSI host adapters into your servers
(Chapter 3,”Cabling the RAID Subsystem Cluster Components” see “Prepare
the SCSI Host Adapters” to proceed with the cluster installation.
Preparing the SCSI Host Adapters
Each host server in a cluster requires that one HD-68-Pin SCSI host adapter is
installed. The two SCSI host adapters used in the cluster must be identical.
The host adapter product supported for a RAID Array 3000 cluster is as
follows:
INTEL Servers Adaptec AHA-2944UW
Prior to installing the SCSI host adapters (as described in the Adaptec AHA-
2944UW Installation Guide, the SCSI host adapter must be prepared for the
cluster environment, which includes:
■ Setting SCSI Host Adapter Termination
■ Setting Unique SCSI Host Adapter IDs
■ Disabling SCSI Bus Reset
■ Disabling SCSI Host Adapter BIOS
