Requirements
Document Manager runs on the following versions of Microsoft Windows:
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
Use one of the following versions of Outlook:
• Outlook 2000
• Outlook 2002 (Outlook XP) with Service Pack 2
• Outlook 2003 with Service Pack 1

Install Document M anager on your desktop comp uter us ing either the installation CD-ROM or installation
program located on your network. You must have local administrative privileges to install and use
Document Manager. Also, before installing Document Manager, make sure Outlook has been properly
shut down. See your system administrator for more information.
An in
stallation wizard guides you through the installation steps and prompts you to choose the d estination
fold
er. The default value is C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP RISS Document
Manager.
You must also provide your ema il address and connection settings. By default, the Use the currently
logged on user for establishing connec tion settings check box is selected. Leave this selected, unless
you plan to archive documents to a net work domain that is different from the one you use when logging
on t
oWindows.
If you use a different domain, supply your Windows Logon User Name, Windows Logon Domain, and
Host Address (the address of the RISS SMTP server). Ask your system administrator for this information.
