Deleting Zones
Use the following procedure to delete a zone.
To delete a zone
1. Launch the Zone Admin module as described on page 9-3.
2. Click the Zone tab.
3. Select the zone you want to delete from the Name drop-down menu and click Delete.
The Confirm Deleting Zone dialog box displays.
4. Click Yes .
The selected zone is deleted from the Zone Admin buffer. At this point you can either save your
changes or save and enable your changes.
5. Click Zoning Actions > Save Config Only to save the configuration changes.
To enable the configuration, see “Enabling Zone Configurations” on page 9-23.
Managing QuickLoops
QuickLoop is a Brocade software product that allows multiple ports on a switch to create a logical loop.
Devices connected via QuickLoop appear to each other as if they are on the same arbitrated loop.
QuickLoop can be administered using Fabric OS 5.x; however, switches or directors running
Fabric OS 5.x cannot be members of a QuickLoop. SilkWorm 24000 and 48000 directors and SilkWom
200E, 3250, 3850, 3900, 4100, 4900, and 7500 switches cannot be members of a QuickLoop.
Creating QuickLoops
Use the following procedure to create a QuickLoop.
To create a QuickLoop
1. Launch the Zone Admin module as described on page 9-3.
2. Select a format to display zoning members in the Member Selection List as described in “Zoning
Views on page 9-8.
3. Click the QuickLoop tab and click Create.
The Create New QuickLoop dialog box displays.
4. Type a name for the new QuickLoop and click OK.
5. Click an element in the Member Selection List that you want to include in the QuickLoop.

You must have a QuickLoop license installed to create or modify a QuickLoop.
