11Fabric OS 5.0.3 release notes
Important notes
This section provides information you should be aware of when running Fabric OS 5.0.3.
Enabling SNMP traps after upgrading firmware
Starting with the FOS 4.4.0 release, HP added the ability to enable traps on a more granular level. After an
upgrade, run the snmpMibCapSet command from the CLI to update the settings. This allows additional
flexibility in controlling SNMP traps. The default setting for all traps is disabled.
New process for obtaining a PKI certificate
HP no longer includes a PKI certificate as part of the installed Secure Fabric OS. If you want to
activate Secure Fabric OS on a supported Director or switch, you must contact HP to obtain a PKI
certificate. See the
HP StorageWorks Secure Fabric OS 5.x administrator guide
for instructions on
obtaining certificates.
Upgrading and installing FC4-16 and FC4-32 blades
Before installing FC4-16 or FC4-32 blades, you must first upgrade firmware to Fabric OS 5.x on
each CP.

Advanced Performance Monitor Adding Advanced Performance Monitor (perfAddUserMonitor)
without zoning enabled at the same time will stop all frame traffic. The
only frames that can go through are those that match the definitions in
the perfAddUserMonitor command, in most cases, a very narrow
definition. The result is that almost all traffic is blocked.
Add Advanced Performance Monitor only when zoning is also
enabled.
