It will lead you through the installation. We recommend you select the Reinstall
filesets and unselect the Mount filesystems option from the options menu.
Change Source Depot Type to Local Directory and Source Depot Path to
/tmp/<filename> (If you used a directory other than /tmp in step two,
replace /tmp with that directory name.)
After completing the installation, remove /tmp/<filename> with:
rm -f /tmp/<filename>.
The HP-UX Runtime Environment, for the Java 2 Platform is installed by default
in /opt/java1.4/jre. This directory contains the complete set of files you
may place in your application. Be sure to read the jre.os11.release.notes in
/opt/java1.4/jre for further information.
Compatibility
Note: Earlier versions of Core Switch 2/64 firmware (Version 4.0.0x) cannot be
loaded onto a SAN Switch 2/32.
The SAN Switch 2/32 is compatible with the following switches in the fabric,
running Fabric OS Version 3.0.2k or later:
■ SAN Switch 2/8 EL
■ SAN Switch 2/8 Power Pak
■ SAN Switch 2/16
■ SAN Switch 2/16 Power Pak
Note: For the Fabric OS Version 2.x switches or Fabric OS Version 3.x switches, the
Core Switch PID Format must be enabled (set to 1) using the configure
command
before it can interconnect with the SAN Switch 2/32. For more information regarding
the Core Switch PID Format, please refer to Appendix B in the
HP StorageWorks SAN

, “Updating the Core PID Format.” A hardcopy version
of the installation guide is supplied with your switch.
