• LD is a dynamic distance mode that automatically d iscovers lengths and

assigns the correct amount of buffer credits with an Extended Fabrics license.

• LS is a static distance mode that allows you to specify the number of buffer

credits require d with an Extended Fabrics license.

• LE supports up to 10 kilometers at any spee d and does not require an

Extended Fabrics license.

• Simple Network Mana gem ent Protocol Daemon (SNMPD)

• Web Server Daem on (Webd)

• Common Access Layer Daemon (CALD )

• Remote Procedure Call Daemon (RPCD)

• Event Monitor Daemon (EVMD)

• Asynchronous Response Router Daemon (ARRD), sends management data to

hosts when the switch is accessed via FA API or SMI-S.
