Workaround: Although Internet Explorer 9 is the latest version supported with HP System Management
Homepage, if you click OK on the message, the HP System Management Homepage will eventually
open. This will be addressed in a future release of the System Management Homepage.
Firmware for the expansion disk enclosure I/O module does not get updated
When updating firmware using the Firmware tab on the System Monitoring and Maintenance tool,
the firmware does not get updated on the I/O modules of the expansion disk enclosure.
Workaround: Restart the system and update the firmware again. The I/O module firmware will update
successfully.
The Unit Identification Device function in the HP System Management Homepage is not
working correctly
When using the Unit Identification Device function in the HP System Management Homepage to identify
a controller enclosure, the functionality may not work properly. For example, if you click On, the state
remains as Off. Conversely, if you click Off, the state remains as On.
Workaround: If this situation occurs, repeat the step to turn the Unit Identification Device On or Off.
The second attempt will be successful.
The Firmware tab of the System Monitoring and Maintenance tool incorrectly indicates
disk drive firmware needs to be downgraded or re-upgraded
After installing software version 3.00.0a, the Firmware tab of the System Monitoring and Maintenance
tool may display the following message about disk drive firmware:
Flash not attempted for HP StoreEasy Drive Bundle using cp016024.exe: Firmware version already up to date. Check
log file c:\CPQSYSTEM\log\cpqsetup.log) for further information.
Flash not attempted for HP StoreEasy Drive Bundle using cp016024.exe: the firmware version on device Port: 1E
Box: 1 Bay: 1 (HPD5) is newer than that in the repository (HPD4). However, you may still force the install of the
firmware by specifying the option 'force' tag value set to 'true'.
Flash not attempted for INTERNAL SERVER HDD using cp016024.exe: the firmware version (HPD4) is already up to
date for device. However, you may still force the install of the firmware by specifying the option 'force' tag value
set to 'true'.
Workaround: You can ignore this message. The disk drive firmware has been updated to the latest
supported version.
Manage Spare Drive and Create a Volume wizards fail with expansion disk enclosures
in the environment
If, after adding an expansion disk enclosure to your environment, you may choose to use the Manage
Spare Drive or Create a Volume wizard. In this situation, it is possible that either wizard may fail with
a "System Out of Memory Exception" message.
Workaround: If you receive this error message, restart the storage system and retry the wizard. The
second attempt should be successful.
Updating Java to any version affects the HP CMP Service
When installing software version 3.00.0a, the Firmware tab of the System Monitoring and Maintenance
tool may indicate a Java update (either an upgrade or a downgrade) is needed. If you apply the
update, it will affect the HP CMP Service and display a message in the Firmware tab:
Event 2052: web exception on HTTP get request. Connect failure unable to
connect to the remote server
Additionally, the following error will be reported in the jakarta_service_yyyymmdd.log file
(located in C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\CMP\logs):
Failed creating java C:\Program Files\Java\jre<version>\bin\server\jvm.dll
Workaround: To resolve this issue, you must uninstall and re-install the HP CMP Service after applying
the Java update:
