Version: 3.80 Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader . The Autoloader firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP) using a USB flash drive. • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Autoloader firmware version 3.80 Compatible robotics firmware version 2.40e Update recommendation Recommended Supersedes All previous versions of Autoloader firmware.

Fixes Version 3.80 • Improved vertical positioning algorithms to reduce the occurrence of errors 8A 4B (Destination full or blocked) and 8A 4D (Could not pull tape out of slot). • Fixed a case where the library reports Not Ready status after ‘hot plugging’ the library LUN hosting drive, even though the RMI and OCP indicate that the library and drives are Ready. This failure to initialize the drive interface after ‘hot plugging’ is corrected.

Compatibility note When using firmware version 2.50 or newer revisions with the Encryption Kit, any key server tokens set with an odd number of characters for the PIN will not be totally backwards compatible in Autoloaders or Libraries with code revisions 2.10, 4.00, 6.30, or 8.70. In those cases, a token in an Autoloader or Library with 2.10, 4.00, 6.30, or 8.
