Previously, if m
ore than one command was sent from the same host to the primar y port and the same LUN
and one of those commands was abor ted, the others were also aborted. This was because the fi rmware
treated this situation as an Abor t Task Set management function. Because tags are not always provided
by FC and pSCSI HBAs, the firmware instead uses its own internal unique command identification to
abort specificc
ommands (Exchange ID). This issue has been fixed.

Use HP Storage
Works Librar y & Tape To ols (L&TT) to update the tape drive firmware. You can download
L&TT from h

p://www.hp.com/support/tap etools. Online help and instructions are included with
the utility.
NOTE:
Once the download has started, do NOT power off the unit or inter rupt the firmware download process
until the dow
nload is complete. Doing so could leave the product in a non-usable state.

support/storage . Select your product from the list and follow the instructions from the Web page.
