The release includes updated firmware for HP StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1760 SCSI tape drives.
HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools (HP L&TT) must be used to download firmware to the tape
drive.

New functionality
• New functionality has been added to increase the drive's robustness to variations in media. This
will increase load time.
Enhancements
• Drive tuning has been improved so that the tape drive is better able to read some tapes written
by non-HP drives
• Error rate counters are now cleared on a load rather than being cumulative after power-on
• The number of retries is now extended if the Cartridge Memory cannot be read
Fixes
• Fixed a rare issue where a Write attribute command could cause datasets to be written beyond
the End of Wrap (EOW) turnaround point
• Differences are no longer observed between the power-on times reported in different Library &
Tape Tools (L&TT) logs and the drive logs
