Version: 4.90 Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library. The firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP) using a USB flash drive. • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Library firmware version 4.90 Compatible robotics firmware version Update recommendation Supersedes 3.00e Recommended All previous versions of Library firmware.
Fixes • Fixed a case where the firmware failed to set the SEQ bit on the MODE Sense Page 0x20 after an library mode configuration change from Automatic mode or Random mode to Sequential mode. • Fixed a case where the RMI address was not updated on Inquiry Page 85h until after the Library was rebooted. 3. Click the device to update in the device list. 4. Click Firmware on the main toolbar. 5. On the Update Firmware tab, select the box next to each device for which you want to update firmware. If firmware is currently available for that device, it is shown in Firmware File in the File Selection section of the screen. 6. Click Start Update at the bottom of the screen to begin the update.
