Viewing and Configuring System Message Logs

Viewing the System Messages with Page Breaks

This procedure is valid for the SilkWorm 200E, 3250, 3850, 3900, 4100, 24000, and 48000 products.

To display the system message log, with page breaks:

1. Log in to the switch as admin.

2. At the command line, enter the errShow command:

Clearing the System Message Log

This procedure is valid for the SilkWorm 200E, 3250, 3850, 3900, 4100, 24000, and 48000 products.

To clear the system message log for a particular switch instance:

1. Log in to the switch as admin.

2. Use the errClear command to clear all messages from memory.

For products that have a single processor, all error log messages are cleared. For products that have

multiple processors, this command only clears the error logs of the processor it is executed from.
