FCR-1029
Message <timestamp>, [FCR-1029], <sequence-number>,, INFO, <system-name>, In slot <slot
number> port WWN pool 95 percent allocated.
Probable Cause Indicates that the Port world wide name (WWN) pool has rolled over in the specified slot, and WWN
entries detected not in use are reused as needed.
Recommended
Action
It is unlikely that WWN conflicts will occur as a result of pool rollover unless the switch is deployed
in a very large MetaSAN environment with large number of logical storage area network (LSAN)
devices and fabrics, or there are highly dynamic changes to EX_Port connectivity. WWN conflicts
might cause unpredictable behavior in management applications.
To avoid WWN conflicts, all EX_Ports attached to fabrics with highly dynamic changes to EX_Port
connectivity should be disabled and then re-enabled.
