Description HP StoreOnce VSA is the HP StoreOnce Backup system packaged as a VMware virtual appliance. It can be deployed and run on a VMware vSphere hypervisor environment. The StoreOnce VSA software version is 3.7.1. The product version is 1.1.1. Product models The v1.1.1 (3.7.1) software release is applicable to the following product models only. TC458A/AAE -- HP StoreOnce VSA 10TB 3 Year Software Platforms StoreOnce VSA is supported on hypervisors with: • Intel x86 and x64 based hardware.
Fixes N/A Outstanding issues not addressed in this release • If after deployment via SEM or vSphere client, the service set on the VSA is in failed to start state, this can be due to an invalid destination network selection during deployment. To recover from this scenario, edit the network settings on the VSA from vSphere client. Right click on the VSA — Edit Settings — Network adaptor option to select the appropriate destination network. After this, reboot the VSA to get the service set up and running.
• If using HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager to deploy the VSA, please use the following steps: ◦ Download the HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager executable from the software kiosk. Install it on a Windows server.
Run the StoreOnce CLI software update commands Enter the following StoreOnce CLI commands: • system show repository which should list out the rpm file you copied over • system load package D2D_Master-3.7.1-1334.4.x86_64.

At the prompts provide: • (current) UNIX password: the default at installation is hpresetpassword • New UNIX password: the new password should be strong and memorable; it will not be accepted if it is weak, for example a dictionary name • Retype new UNIX password:re-enter the new password to confirm it Type exit to log out. Store the new password securely in an offline Password Security tool.
