HP StoreOnce VSA 1.1 Software Release Notes (TC458-96015, December 2013)

If using HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager to deploy the VSA, please use the following steps:
Download the HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager executable from the software kiosk. Install
it on a Windows server. Please refer to HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager documentation
and release notes for the supported platforms
Copy the OVF, MF and VMDK files into the Software Depot location for SEM:

<Install_directory>/HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager/config/StoreOnceVSA_OVF
Log in to SEM with the default administrator credentials hprmsadmin/hprmsadmin and go
to Device Management Deploy StoreOnce VSA. Please refer to the HP StoreOnce VSA
Deployment and Configuration Guide for detailed instructions.
NOTE: Make sure that the user credentials that you enter in SEM for deploying the VSA
have full administrator privileges on the associated ESXi host and vCenter server.
If using vSphere Client or the vSphere Web client to deploy the VSA, please refer to the HP
StoreOnce VSA Deployment and Configuration Guide for detailed instructions.
NOTE: During deployment, in the ‘Network Mapping step, please make sure to select the
appropriate destination network by right-clicking the Destination Network column in your
infrastructure to set up the correct network configuration on the StoreOnce VSA.
Update process
IMPORTANT: Once deployed, only upgrade the StoreOnce VSA software when advised to do so
by HP Support. Not all StoreOnce software upgrades are supported on the HP StoreOnce VSA.
Download the upgrade package from the HP Support web site
To ensure the integrity of your download, HP recommends verifying your results with this MD5 Checksum

sftp the upgrade package to the software repository on the StoreOnce VSA
sftp the package (D2D_Master-3.7.1-1334.4.x86_64.rpm) to the software repository..
NOTE: In the following instructions, the Management IP address is the address that you normally
use to log on to the StoreOnce VSA’s GUI or CLI.
Example 1: (using Linux)
sftp Admin@<Management_IP Address>
cd repository
put D2D_Master-3.7.1-1334.4.x86_64.rpm
exit sftp
Example 2: (using a Windows sftp client)
Ensure the File Protocol is set to SFTP, not SCP or FTP.
Login to the Management IP address as Admin.
Copy D2D_Master-3.7.1-1334.4.x86_64.rpm to repository.
