Overview
OST is a Symantec backup interface that allows intelligent storage devices, like the HP B6200
StoreOnce Backup System, to work with Symantec's NetBackup (NBU) software. OST provides
NetBackup administrators with advanced capabilities, such as optimized duplication and Disaster
Recovery (DR) copy creation.
The HP OST v2.0 plug-in is installed on the NetBackup media servers. It uses a StoreOnce Catalyst
Client-side library interface to interact with the HP B6200 StoreOnce Backup System.
Please refer to http://www.hp.com/go/b6000 for more details on the HP B6200 StoreOnce
Backup System.
