Configuring Data in Flight encryption on Windows media servers
The following procedure describes how to configure Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 for use
with StoreOnce Data in Flight encryption.
For instructions on configuring encryption on the StoreOnce Backup system, see Adding encryption
to StoreOnce Backup system (page 60). For instructions on configuring encryption on Linux see
the HP StoreOnce Linux and UNIX Configuration guide.
NOTE: The settings for key lifetimes can have an impact on the performance of the data in flight
encryption links. If the lifetime values are set to low values, then there is a risk of low performances
or even failures of the backup jobs. It is recommended, that these values are set sufficiently high
to allow the backup jobs to run as well as maintain the security of the data being transferred
1. Open Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
