Before replacing the motherboard—iLO4 licenses
All products are shipped with paper copies of the iLO4 licenses. If you no longer have these licenses
and the board is still working for the iLO4 GUI connection via its management Ethernet port, make
a note of the license before you remove the motherboard. (If it is not working, contact HP Support.)
1. Log on to the iLO4 GUI.
2. Select the Administration Tab.
3. Select Licensing and make a note of the Activation Key.
After replacing the motherboard—iLO and BIOS configuration
For all products you must:
1. Boot the system. During the POST phase, when prompted, press F8 to perform iLO
configuration. On the Network tab:
Select the DNS/DHCP option and toggle DHCP Enable to OFF.
If DHCP is set to OFF, select NIC and TCP/IP and configure the network static IP addresses
Save the changes and exit
2. As the system BIOS boot process continues, when the prompt to Press F9 is visible, press the
F9 key to enter the RBSU (ROM-based Setup Utility) or BIOS Setup. This is so that you can
change settings detailed in step 4.
3. Change the RBSU settings, as shown in the following table.
NOTE: Unless noted otherwise, the settings apply to all products.
