5. Enter the IP address of the iSNS server.
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK when finished.
Cluster Map View
After creating clusters and volumes and finishing the setup of HP StoreVirtual Storage, use the Map
View tab for viewing the relationships between clusters, sites, volumes and systems. For more
information on using the map view tools, see “Using the display tools” (page 10).
Monitoring cluster usage
The Use Summary, Volume Use, and System Use tabs provide detailed information about
provisioning of volumes and snapshots and space usage in the cluster. See “Ongoing capacity
management” (page 148) for information about the information reported on these tabs.
Editing a cluster
When editing a cluster, you can change the properties, the iSNS servers, or the cluster virtual IP
addresses. If you change the iSNS servers or cluster virtual IP addresses, you must reconnect
volumes and applications after the change.
Editing cluster properties
Change the cluster name or description.
1. Right-click the cluster or click Cluster Tasks.
2. Select Edit Cluster→Edit Cluster Properties.
3. In the Edit Cluster Properties window change the name, or add or change the cluster description.
4. Click OK to save.
Editing iSNS servers
Add or change the iSNS servers for a cluster. If you change the IP address of an iSNS server, or
remove the server, you may need to change the configuration that clients are using. Therefore,
you may need to disconnect any clients before making this change.
1. Quiesce any applications that are accessing volumes in the cluster.
2. Log off the active sessions in the iSCSI initiator for those volumes.
3. Edit iSNS servers using either of the following methods:
From the Cluster Tasks menu:
a. Right-click the cluster or click Cluster Tasks.
b. Select Edit Cluster→Edit iSNS Servers.
c. In the Edit iSNS Servers window, select the IP to change or delete, or click Add to add
a new IP.
d. Make the necessary changes and click OK to save.
From the iSCSI Tasks menu:
a. Select the cluster and click the iSCSI tab to bring it to the front.
b. Select the iSNS server IP to change and click iSCSI Tasks.
c. Select the appropriate menu item and make the desired changes.
d. Click OK to save.
Editing cluster virtual IP addresses
Add, change, or delete the VIPs for a cluster, usually as part of a network reconfiguration. Any
time you add, change or remove the virtual IP address for iSCSI volumes, you are changing the
