HP SureStore AutoBackup Administrator's Guide - Not Orderable

The install program displays the message
"Insufficient disk space".
The installation of the client software is terminated. Use another hard disk or free up
space on the current one. Make sure that there is sufficient space available before
attempting to install the client again. The download uses about 30 MB of disk space.
Insufficient network capability message
received.
The client is unable to communicate sufficiently with the appliance using the current
network settings. TCP/IP must be used. Refer to your network administrator for setup
information. See also
The web browser displays an error
"Cannot find server".
If the web address is not found, first ensure that the address has been correctly spelt.
If the address is correct but cannot be found, try repeating the address but replace the
appliance name with the explicit IP address. This can be found on the LCD of the
appliance as it boots up. Alternatively, configure the browser so that it does not use
the web proxy for intranet web addresses. On Netscape this can be done through the
Edit->Preferences.. menu, and on IE4, through the View->Internet Options menu.
The install program displays the message
that disaster recovery will be unavailable
due to compression.
With Windows 95/98, the file compression system prevents disaster recovery
backups being created. Most systems don't use this feature of the OS, but if it is, then
disaster recovery cannot be used. The reason for this is that the method by which the
file compression is enabled requires a full operating system, whilst the disaster
recovery process uses a cut-down OS to restore the original data - operating system
and all. Normal file recovery is still possible, but disaster recovery cannot be used in
its traditional manner.
To Recover all the files after a disaster, take the following steps:
Reinstall the operating system onto the hardware of the protected computer,
using the normal installation methods.
Enable File Compression on the operating system.
