Check correct cable is being used.
Check cabling.
Check SCSI bus terminated properly.
Check if the drive is faulty.
Then do this :
Terminate the SCSI bus correctly.
Change to recommended cable.
Check cable secured properly.
If more than one device present, ensure each device has its own SCSI ID. It is
recommended that only one device is connected to the appliance on the SCSI
bus.
If this was not successful then call for service
SCSI Timeouts being reported
First check :
Check that the SCSI cable is undamaged, by swapping it for a know good
one.
Check that a SCSI terminator is connected to the tape drive.
Check that the SCSI connectors have no bent pins.
Check that the SCSI cable is less that 2.5m in length.
Then do this :
Terminate the SCSI bus correctly.
Change to recommended cable.
Check cable secured properly.
If more than one device present, ensure each device has it's own SCSI ID. It
is recommended that only one device is connected to the appliance on the
SCSI bus.
If this was not successful then call for service
Backup is very slow
The appliance may have a lot of data to back up. Backing up the appliance could take
a long time.
First check :
Check the drive has been cleaned recently.
Then do this :
Clean the drive.
Use new recommended media.
