What is the maximum file size that is
saved?
The maximum file size that should be saved is 2 GB. Files larger than this will be
backed up, but will affect the performance of the appliance, and is therefore not
recommended. Also consider that when restoring files, free disk space up to 2x the
size of the stored data is required in order to recreate the file. This would mean that a
2 GB file would require 4 GB of free disk space on the protected computer. If this
free space was not available, then the restore operation would fail. It is important to
make sure that the disk onto which the data is being restore will have the capacity to
cope with such an operation. The exception to this rule is if the file is being restored
from disaster recovery CD-ROM.
