Active Fabric

The Active Fabric Configuration menu allows for enabling/disabling the

Server-Free Backup Mode and for configuring the number of controller LUNs

visible to an operating system communicating with the bridge.

Current active fabric configuration indicates whether server-free back-up mode

is enabled as well as the number of controller LUNs being used by the bridge.

■ Select 1) to toggle the Server-Free Backup Mode between ON or OFF.

When set to ON, server-free backup capability is enable on the bridge so

that it can accept Extended Copy commands.

■ Select 2) to change the number of controller LUNs reported by the

bridge. This value can be set to a number of 0 to 4.

Note When Server-Free Backup Mode is set to ON, be sure FC

Discovery is also enabled so that the router will have access to

FC targets.

1) Toggle Server Free Backup Mode

2) Change number of Controller LUNs

NOTE: FC DISCOVERY mode must be enabled

when Server Free Backup Mode is ON

to access FC targets.
