Serial or Ethernet Interface
The screens shown in this section are available through the serial interface or
the Ethernet interface when a Telnet session is used. In either of these cases,
the menu structure is the same. A web management interface is also available
(see Chapter 6.
From the serial interface, access the main menu.
■ For information on selection 1), see Perform Configuration on
page 85.
■ Select 2) to access system utilities. This option is described in detail
under System Utilities on page 112.
■ Select 3) to display trace and assertion history. This option is described
under Trace History on page 120.
■ Select 4) to reboot the bridge. A confirmation message will appear
verifying you want to do this. If you enter
[N] for NO, you are returned to
the System Utilities menu. If you enter
[Y] for YES, the bridge will restart.
This option is described under Reboot on page 122.
■ Select 5) to download a new revision of the firmware. A confirmation
message will appear verifying you want to do this. If you enter
[N] for
NO, you are returned to the System Utility menu. If you enter [Y] for YES,
the bridge begins accepting firmware data from the serial port. This option
is described under Download a New Revision of the Firmware on
page 125.
