Installation and Configuration
This section explains how to install and configure the HP Surestore Bridge FC
2/1 LV and FC 4/1 HV within HP SAN Backup solutions. Basic knowledge
about installing and configuring tape libraries, Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), and
software in a non-SAN configuration is required.
This section’s instructions are based on the following example configuration:
■ HP-UX server with two HBAs
■ Windows NT server with one HBA
■ 8-port HP Brocade Fibre Channel switch
■ HP 20/700 tape library with 2 DLT8000 drives
■ Fibre Channel bridge 4/1/HV
