Unpacking the Box

Unpack the bridge shipping container using the following instructions:

1. Select a location that ensures the front intake vents and back fan vent are

clear of obstructions so air can flow freely through the bridge.

2. Remove all items from the shipping container. Check each one for

damage. Keep the bridge in the protective bag until you are ready to

install it.

3. Refer to the packing slip or contents list to make sure you received all the

equipment you ordered. If an item is missing, contact your sales

representative.

Note Do not connect any devices or cables to the bridge until the

bridge is secured in a rack or placed securely on a flat, level

surface.

Using the HP Surestore Bridge on a Desktop

Use the following instructions to place the bridge on a table or desktop.

1. Remove the bridge from the protective bag.

2. Attach the stick-on feet to the bottom of the bridge to protect the table

surface.

3. Place the bridge on the table or desktop. Be sure the air intake vents and

back fan vent are clear of any obstruction.
