Installing on HP-UX Version 11.0
If the FC host bus adapter (HBA) is installed in the system before the
operating system software is loaded, the FC drivers are automatically
loaded with the operating system. If this is the case, perform the
following steps:
NOTE If you are installing the A5158A adapter, skip steps 1 through 4.
1. Run
SAM (System Administration Manager).
2. Under Kernel Configuration, select
[Configurable Parameters].
3. Set
[num_tachyon_adapters] to the number of FC HBAs installed in the
system.
4. Under the
Actions menu, select [Process New Kernel].
If the FC HBA is installed in the system after the operating system
software is loaded, perform the following steps:
NOTE If you are installing the A5158A adapter, skip step 3.
1. Run
SAM (System Administration Manager).
2. Under Kernel Configuration, select
[Drivers].
3. Under the
List menu, select [Configurable Parameters] and set
[num_tachyon_adapters] to the number of FC HBAs installed in the
system.
Setting the
[num_tachyon_adapters] parameter is not necessary for the
A5158A adapter.
