Interface
single-ended SCSI A type of

SNMP Simple Network
Management Protocol; a network
management protocol designed to
run over TCP/IP routed networks.
switch A device that provides a (n
by n) interconnect to allow a port
to have full communication
bandwidth with any other port
while other communications are
occurring.
SW Optical FC Cable A short
wave optical Fibre Channel cable.
synchronous Simultaneous
transmission of multiple
transmissions down the SCSI
path.

target Typically a disk array or a

Telnet A virtual terminal
emulation facility over TCP/IP.
terminator An electronic device
that connects to the end of the
SCSI bus to stabilize bus signals.
topology The logical and/or
