Managing the Director
• FRU - an acronym representing the FRU type. The meanings of FRU acronyms are:
– BKPLNE - backplane.
– CTP - CTP card.
– SBAR - SBAR card.
• FPM card. For the fiber port module (FPM) card, the following acronyms may display
to indicate the card’s port technology:
– GLSL - G_Port, long wave, single mode LC connector, 1 Gigabit
– GSML - G_Port, short wave, multimode, LC connector, 1 Gigabit
– GXXL - G_Port, mixed mode, LC connector, 1 Gigabit
– GSF1 - G_Port, small form factor optics (SFO) pluggable, 1 Gigabit
– GSF2 - G_Port, small form factor optics (SFO) pluggable, 2 Gigabit
– GLSR - G_Port, short wave, single mode, MT-RJ connector, 1 Gigabit
– GXXR - G_Port, mixed mode, MT-RJ connector, 1 Gigabit
– GXXL - G_Port, mixed mode, LC connector, 1 Gigabit
• FAN - fan module.
• PWR - power supply.
Position - a number representing the FRU chassis position. The chassis (slot) position
for a nonredundant FRU is 0. The chassis positions for redundant FRUs are 0 and 1.
The chassis positions for FPM cards are 0 through 15.
Status - the FRU status (Active or Backup).
Part Number - the FRU part number.
Serial Number - the FRU serial number.
