Errors There are many reasons why the download can fail:

• The host name is not known to the switch.

• The host IP address cannot be contacted.

• The user does not have permission on the host.

• The user runs a script that prints something at login.

• The path to the firmware may be case sensitive.

• The file does not exist on the host.

• The file is not a switch firmware file.

• The file is corrupted.

• The RSHD or FTP server is not running on the host.
