6. If the EM includes an MPV vacancy plate, remove the three screws and the MPV vacancy

plate (see Figure 20).

7. The card and its card cage are collectively termed “Compact Peripheral Component Inter-

connect” (CPCI). Open the CPCI package and remove it from the anti-static bag.

8. Remove the MPW card from the CPCI. Loosen the captive screw using a flat-blade screw-

driver (see Figure 21).
