Central Management Server
Use careful planning if you want to deploy new drivers, firmware agents, or other software to the local CMS
because you might receive unexpected results, such as a mandatory reboot of the CMS.
Configure or Repair Agents
Se1170 is not discovered as an HP Proliant server. Therefore, deployment of agents is not supported through
Configure or Repair Agents for Systems Insight Manager 6.1.

When configuring a Configure or Repair Agents task, limit the number of target servers to 100 or less so
that the internally created Windows command will not exceed the maximum Windows command line length.

If the CMS is connected to a managed system through VPN, you cannot use tools like Initial ProLiant Support
Pack Install, Install Software and Firmware, Install OpenSSH, and Configure or Repair Agents to install agents
to it.
If you try this, these tools will fail and you will not be able to run other tasks with these tools. You must reboot
the CMS for these tools to work properly

Configure or Repair Agents fails on Linux systems if the HP Insight Management WBEM providers are already
installed on the system. HP does not support both WBEM and SNMP (contained in the Linux support pack
deployed by Configure or Repair Agents) on the same system. If the Configure or Repair Agents operation
fails, you can view the HP Smart Update Manager log on the target system, located in the
/var/hp/log/hpsum_execution_log* file and /var/hp/log/localhost/*.txt files for more
details. If the WBEM providers have already been installed, the localhost\hpsum_detail_log.txt
file will show a dependency conflict - hp-health conflicts with hp-smx.
Data Collection
After discovering MSA2000 systems, Data Collection might fail resulting in minimal information appearing
on the System page and only Discovery/Identification data appearing in Data Collection report. To resolve
this issue, run Data Collection again.
Database credentials
During Systems Insight Manager installation, the database credentials must have SQL administrator access
with dbowner rights. After installation, these rights can be reduced.
Firefox
Firefox error console displays message that Systems Insight Manager is potentially vulnerable to
CVE-2009-3555.
Systems Insight Manager 6.2 is not vulnerable to CVE-2009-3555. The Firefox message indicates servers
that are potentially vulnerable. Systems Insight Manager 6.2 has disabled SSL renegotiation to remove the
vulnerability, but this cannot be detected by Firefox.
Health status
The Health Status of a Superdome 2 IOX Enclosure will appear as disabled on the System Page. In system
lists, an aggregated status of the components in the enclosure appears, but the enclosure itself always appears
as disabled on the System Page because the enclosure itself is not polled directly for status.
