README - HP Systems Insight Manager 5.3

temperature graph is empty. After data has been collected, the temperature graph is inaccessible when
navigating to Insight Power Manager.
-------------------------------------------------------------
When a 24-hour graph displays that has less than 24 hours of history data in it, the Kilowatt-Hour analysis
calculation appears to be wrong. The Kilowatt-Hour analysis data covers only available collected history
data. If some history data is unavailable, zeros are not assumed. Missing data does not mean zero values.
HP Serviceguard Manager
There are two ways to launch HP Serviceguard Manager in the in the All Systems collections assuming
Serviceguard Manager is already registered with HP SIM.
If you click on a cluster node "C" on a row that states something like Member in cluster C in the All
Systems collection.
If the user clicks on a cluster node "C" on the row where it is just listing a cluster "C" in both in the All
Systems collection.
Where "C" is the name of the cluster node.
Scenarios when you can or cannot launch Serviceguard Manager:
If HP SIM did not associate a management processor to Serviceguard Manager members, you can
launch Serviceguard Manager successfully by the two methods describe above.
If HP SIM did associate a management processor to Serviceguard Manager members, only method
one is able to launch Serviceguard Manager.
If HP SIM did associate a management processor to Serviceguard Manager members, using method
two will not launch Serviceguard Manager.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The HP Serviceguard WBEM provider requires root credentials to access. Therefore, if you have a
Serviceguard cluster that is not configured for SNMP and/or not using the SNMP Serviceguard provider,
then you must use root WBEM credentials to all the nodes in the Serviceguard cluster.
-------------------------------------------------------------
HP Serviceguard Manager 4.0 is not supported on Windows Server 2003.
-------------------------------------------------------------
When you uninstall HP Serviceguard Manager 4.0 after it has been integrated with HP SIM, you receive
an HTTP 404 error. This error occurs because the Serviceguard Manager uninstall application deletes the
webapps\sgmgr directory, which is located:
on HP-UX and Linux:
/opt/hpwebadmin/webapps
on Windows:
\ProgramFiles\HP\Systems Insight Manager\hpwebadmin\webapps
To avoid the HTTP 404 error in the future, you must remove the tool from HP SIM using the following command
from the path /var/opt/mx/tools on Linux or HP-UX:
mxtool -r -f sgmw-web-tools.xml
If Serviceguard Manager is reinstalled in the future, you must add the tool to HP SIM again using the following
command from the path /var/opt/mx/tools on Linux or HP-UX and \ProgramFiles\HP\Systems
Insight Manager\tools on Windows:
mxtool -a -f sgmw-web-tools.xml
NOTE: If there is a task that utilizes the Serviceguard Manager tool and the tool is removed and then
added again, the tasks might no longer work because the GUID has changed by adding the tool again.
