3. Select the License Category you want to un-assign. If licenses were assigned using this category,
Un-assign Licenses is available.
4. Click Un-assign Licenses. The Un-assign Licenses section appears.
Licenses delivered to the target system cannot be unassigned. There is no penalty for having licenses
remain on those systems. The Un-Assign Licenses function is disabled.
The Un-Assign Licenses table is refreshed and shows the updated status.
NOTE: Licenses deployed to remote systems such as an iLO2 cannot be un-assigned.

Duration license management
Duration License specify the number of seats and the number of months that a key is valid. The key is set to
expire in the specified number of months following the first use of the key on each assigned node.
The Duration License key type:
• Is for general use as an alternative to the Subscription License.
• Can be re-applied to the same node as needed at any time. For example, when current usage is about
to expire or has expired for the node and unused licenses are still available for this key.
NOTE: A single node must have the ability to be re-licensed after initial certificate expiration, both
with the original key, or subsequently added key.
• Allows users to assign multiple licenses to a node, such that the additional licenses currently available
with the node will be consumed sequentially as the current license expires.
