For Windows, enter \Windows\Disk1\InstData\VM directory. Run setup.exe to start the installation.

For other operating systems, execute. /setup.bin or setup_console.bin. Refer to the following diagram

When install HP Value UPS Manager software in some Linux OS such as Red Hat Enterprise server 5,

there maybe prompt an error that shows “Permission denied”, refer to the below diagram 2-2-4:

In this case, the user should set the file permissions manually. To set the permission files:

1 Execute the command “cd linux_setup” to login the installation catalog “linux_setup”. There are two

files in this catalog: “InstallerData” and “Linux”

2 To set the permissions of the file “InstallerData” and “Linux”, execute command:

Chomd –R 777 InstallerData

Chomd –R 777 Linux

3 Execute. /setup.bin. The user is now permitted to install HP Value UPS Manager.
