Determining if Processors Have Failed
If you are specifically interested in the status of processors on a
particular cell board, you can get this information using the HP-UX
parstatus command, or the Partition Manager.
HP-UX Commands From any partition in the complex, the parstatus command (see
parstatus (1)) can be used to determine the operating status of a cell’s
processors.
Step 1. /usr/sbin/parstatus -V -c
cell_number
These options to parstatus will display detailed information about the
cell specified by
cell_number
. In addition to status information about
what cell the partition is assigned to, the status of the memory modules
on the cell board, and other useful information, the status of the cell’s
processors is displayed. For example:
/usr/sbin/parstatus -V -c 5
You can perform this task using HP-UX commands or
Partition Manager.
