A CPU cabinet is Superdome's hardware “box.” It contains:
• cells;
• The Guardian Service Processor (one per complex);
• I/O chassis (a maximum of four chassis for a maximum of 48 slots);
• five top-venting I/O fans;
• four top-venting cabinet fans;
• six power supplies, connected to the power source by one or (for
redundancy) two cables.
This block diagram shows how all the components in a 32-way-capable
system communicate.
