Determining the Processor and Memory
Configurations of Cells
You can determine the processor and memory configuration for cells in a
Superdome complex by using the procedures provided in this section.
GSP Use this procedure to check cell processor and memory configurations
from the Superdome complex’s GSP command menu.
You can use the GSP to check these details for any cell in the complex.
Step 1. Log in to the Superdome complex’s GSP and access the GSP command
menu.
From the GSP main menu, enter CM to access the command menu.
Step 2. Issue the GSP command menu’s PS command and specify the cell whose
processor and memory details you want to view.
The PS command reports details for the cell including its processor
configuration (CPU population) and its memory configuration (DIMM
population).
For the cell memory configuration details, the PS command displays each
populated DIMM and identifies it using its DIMM ID number (0–31).
The following example shows details for cell 0 in cabinet 0, which has
four processors (0–3) and four DIMMs installed (0, 4, 8, and 12).
You can perform this task using GSP menus, the
BCH interface, HP-UX commands, or Partition Manager.
