ZMASTERD - Daemon Monitoring Feature
Deactivate Option
Deactivate Option
The deactivate directive is used to terminate a daemon that was started
by zmasterd and to cause it t o no longer be monitored. The format of the
command is:
%zmasterd deact <daemon>
This will cause the daemon to be killed, and z m asterd will not try to
restartthatdaemon.
Note that zmon may not be deactivated. In order to terminate zmon,
zmasterd stop must be run.
This can be useful to terminate a daemon without having to shutdown
the ACC Mux subsystem. It can also be useful for s topping a daemon so
that it can be restarted with the Activate Option with a new runstring.
