Supported Devices
Any device (or public or private packet switching network) which
conforms to t he ITU-T recommendation X.25 (or a subset thereof) should
be supportable by this ACC X.25 implementation. However, the X.25
recommendationleaves many areas open to different interpretations and
implementations, and operation in any particular case may require
careful selection of a compatible set of configuration parameters.
Note that this X.25 Protocol product fully supports the DTE interface. It
will also support some of the features of a DCE interface, however these
are intended to be used in loopback configurations and direct computer
to computer connections where the other end of the connection is a DTE
device. Some features normally found in the X.25 DCE interface may not
be supported. Please check with your local HP support representative for
more information concerning the DCE f unctionalit y.
This protocol can be used at data rates up to:
• 76.8k b/s, simultaneously on all eight MUX ports of the HP-PB card
(Z7200A)
• 128k b/s simultaneously on all eight MUX ports of the EISA ACC
interface card (Z7400A)
• 2 Mb/s simultaneously on all eight MUX ports of the PCI ACC
interface card (Z7340A)
• an aggregate throughput o f 2.2M b/s per ca rd on the 2 Channel ACC
card (Z735 0A)
The other ACC cards support E1/T1 data rates.
