This document provides information about the September 2008 release of the 10GigEthr-01
bundle for HP-UX 11i v2.
1 10GigEthr-01 Overview
The 10GigEthr-01 bundle contains the icxgbe version B.11.23.0809 driver, which supports the
AD386A PCIe 10 Gigabit Ethernet Card.
2 New and Changed Features in This Release
2.1 New Features
The following feature is new with this version of 10GigEthr-01:
• Accelerated Virtual I/O (AVIO) SSN support
The icxgbe driver now supports AVIO. This feature significantly improves HP Integrity
Virtual Machines (HPVM) I/O performance. For more information about AVIO, see the

2.2 Changed Features
There are no changed features included in 10GigEthr-01 at the time of this publication.
3 Problems Fixed in This Version
There are no defects or fixes included in 10GigEthr-01 at the time of this publication.
4 Known Problems and Limitations
• No install kernel support for HP-UX 11i v2.
The HP-UX 11i v2 install kernel is not supported by the icxgbe version B.11.23.0809 driver.
Workaround: None at the time of this publication.
