Verifying Installation
To verify installation, follow these steps:
1. Log in to a privileged account such as SYSTEM.
2. Confirm that all of the A6826A FibreChannel Adapter ports have been configured. These ports are
represented by devices named FGA0:, FGB0:, etc. There are two ports per adapter, and there should be
one device per port. The device type should be "QLogic ISP23xx FibreChannel" as shown below.
3. Type the SHOW DEVICE/FULL DCL command to verify that the device is present. For example:
$ SHOW DEVICE FG /FULL
Device FGA0:, device type QLogic ISP23xx FibreChannel, is online, shareable,
error logging is enabled.

4. Start the System Dump Analyzer and confirm that the FibreChannel ports are usable by performing the
following commands for each device:
$ ANALYZE/SYSTEM
OpenVMS system analyzer
SDA> FC SET DEVICE FGA ! Selects device FGA, FGB, etc.
SDA> FC SHOW PORT! Show the state of the device's port:
! Port WWID was recorded in step #3
! Link State should be 00000001
! Port State should be 00000000
! Busy Flags should be 00000000
